FORT WORTH – TCU senior Gustav Frimodt will play in the Genesis Invitational Collegiate Showcase on Monday at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., with a TCU-clad foursome.
It features a top PGA Tour professional and a standout collegiate golfer paired with two amateurs competing in both a team and individual competition. Frimodt will play with TCU alums Eli Cole, Tom Hoge and Adam Rubinson.
Frimodt is in his fourth season at TCU. The Glamsbjerg, Denmark native's last tournament was his best performance. Frimodt defeated 15 of the top 30 amateurs in the world to win his first collegiate tournament, the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, held at Colonial Country Club in October.
Hoge is coming off his top season on the PGA TOUR with six top 10 finishes, including his first win on TOUR at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
