
Frogs Fast Break Shuts Down Delta Devils

TCU wins fourth-straight game by 20 or more points
FORT WORTH - Behind 43 fastbreak points, TCU ran Mississippi Valley State out of Schollmaier Arena on Friday by way of an 86-52 win.
The 43 points via the fastbreak were the most by a TCU team in the eight seasons that Jamie Dixon has been the head coach.
Leading the scoring for the Horned Frogs (4-0) were Emanuel Miller and Jameer Nelson Jr. with 13 each. Miller added a team-high five assists to go with four rebounds and two blocks. Nelson was responsible for five of TCU's 15 steals and added two assists.
The Delta Devils (0-4) held a lead of 11-10, with 11:58 remaining in the first half. A 24-7 TCU run was capped off by a fast break scoring opportunity by Avery Anderson who had one of his four steals and converted the layup on the other end. TCU led 41-26 at halftime.
The Frogs held the Delta Devils to 32.0 percent shooting from the field in the second half and shot 60.7 percent themselves. JaKobe Coles scored all seven of his points in the second half and TCU led by as many as 42 points before winning by 34.
For the game, TCU shot 53.6 percent and held MVSU to 38.5 percent.
The Frogs continue a six-game homestand on Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Alcorn State at Schollmaier Arena. The game will be available on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
