ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – TCU opened the season with 36 holes at the Frederica Cup on Wednesday at Frederica Golf Club on St. Simons Island, Ga.
Facing a field that included five top 25 teams, the Horned Frogs finished the day in eighth place at 15-over 735.
TCU was led by senior Jacob Skov Olesen, who shot 1-over 73 in the first round and 1-under 71 in the second round. He finished at even-par 144 to tie for 34th place.
Olesen shot one stroke better than senior Gustav Frimodt, who was 1-over 145 over 36 holes. Frimodt also shot 1-under 71 in the second round.
Senior Aymeric Laussot went under par in the first round at 1-under 71, but was 4-over 76 in the second round to fall into a tie for 41st place.
The Horned Frogs will begin the final round at 6:30 a.m. CT.
