TCU signs 11 for 2022
FORT WORTH - TCU women's soccer head coach Eric Bell has announced the 2022 signing class featuring 11 student-athletes. Four members of the signing class joined the team in January and participated in the spring season. Six members of the incoming class hail from the state of Texas, while two come from California and one each from Michigan, Missouri and Utah.

Making the trek to TCU in January were Azul Alvarez, Seven Castain and Tyler Isgrig. Transferring from Oklahoma was Megan Reilly.

"This is a really talented group," said Bell. "l'm really excited about them as a group and how they are going to help us win championships. We've got all the positions covered. The fans will be quite pleased with the skill sets these players will bring to the table."

Azul Alvarez âĒ GK âĒ Austin, Texas (Plugerville HS/Lonestar)
Played in the U17 FIFA Women's World CupâĶ has competed in 15 international games with MexicoâĶ earned a spot on the U15 and U17 Mexico national teamâĶ currently playing with the U20 Mexico national teamâĶ won the golden glove at CONCACAF with the U15 teamâĶ played club soccer with Lonestar for head coach Sophia Mundy.

Zoe Calyer âĒÂ MF âĒ Frisco, Texas (Reedy HS/Solar Soccer Club)
Played club soccer with Solar 04 ECNL for coach Ben WilliamsâĶ won the 2021 Dallas Cup ChampionshipâĶ played for the No. 1 club program in the country according to Soccer Wire in 2021 and 2022âĶ named first-team all-district and academic all-district following junior campaignâĶ member of the National Honor Society.Â

Played club soccer for Utah Avalanche ECNL for head coach Jimmie PowellâĶ named to the ECNL Northwest All-Conference Team in 2019 and 2021âĶ ranked Max Preps No. 1 in the nation for average goals per game with 4.2 goals per gameâĶ named the 2021 2A Player of the YearâĶ selected to play in the 2021 High School All-American gameâĶ earned United Soccer Coaches Player of the Week three timesâĶ garnered first-team all-state honors in 2018, 2020 and 2021âĶ all-time career goal scoring leader for Waterford High School with 113 goals in 2 Â― seasonsâĶ received Academic High Honors and Waterford Scholar with Distinction all four years of high school.Â

Played club soccer with Sting ECNL for coach Marcus KelcherâĶ named ECNL first-team all-conference in 2021âĶ honored as Player of the Year for ECNL Texas Conference in 2019âĶ first-team all-district as a sophomore and juniorâĶ awarded first-team all-region senior yearâĶ named Offensive MVP for District 9-5A senior yearâĶ received TASCO and THSCA Academic All-State senior year.
