
Staley Punches Ticket to Eugene

Staley finishes fifth, advances to NCAA Outdoor Championships
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Kasey Staley became the first Horned Frog to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships Day Two of the NCAA West Regional. Staley will head to Eugene, Ore. to compete in the pole vault.
The graduate student cleared 4.21m (13-9.75) to place fifth overall. Staley is fresh off garnering bronze at this year's Big 12 Championships with her school-record height of 4.30m (14-1.25). She currently holds both indoor and outdoor school records in the pole vault.
In the 1500m, Gracie Morris earned an automatic qualification by placing second in her heat. The sophomore ran a time of 4:20.97 enroute to advancing to Saturday. She currently holds the school record in the 1500m with a time of 4:14.59.
Sydney Juszczyk concluded her phenomenal freshman year with a 24th-place finish in the women's javelin with a throw of 46.72m (153-3). She currently holds the school record in the javelin at 48.75m (159-11) and was a Big 12 Bronze Medalist at this year's outdoor championships.
Khyasia Caldwell finished 27th in the long jump with a mark of 6.04m (-1.6w) (19-9.75). Also competing in the long jump was Tosin Alao. In her NCAA West Regional debut, she jumped 5.94m (-1.0) (19-6.0).
In the 800m, Jasmin Muhammad-Graham placed 37th with her time of 2:09.09.

The men's side will wrap up competition tomorrow beginning at 1 p.m. with Devin Roberson in the men's discus. The women continue on Saturday at 1 p.m. as Samantha Callaway looks to advance to Eugene in the women's discus.
