
DBU Rallies Past TCU Tuesday Night

FORT WORTH – Dallas Baptist scored four times in the eighth to hand TCU a 6-5 loss Tuesday night at Lupton Stadium. Brayden Taylor and Kurtis Byrne combined for four of the Horned Frogs' five hits in the game.
The Rundown
TCU built a 5-1 lead through the first four innings of the game. Kurtis Byrne's two out double put the Frogs on top 1-0 in the first. DBU tied the game in the second on a one out single.
The Frogs picked up a pair of runs each in the third and fourth, taking advantage of a trio of Patriot errors. Brayden Taylor put the Frogs in front, 2-1, in the third with a base hit. Byrne added his second RBI on a ground out for a 3-1 lead. An errant throw on a stolen base attempt in the fourth allowed Luke Boyers to score and an Elijah Nunez two out single pushed the lead to 5-1.
DBU began its comeback with a two out run in the sixth. In the decisive eighth inning, the Patriots struck for four runs on six hits. The first three batters in the inning reached, making it a 5-3 game. A one out single pulled DBU within one and back-to-back two out base knocks put the Patriots in front.
TCU had the tying run in scoring position in each of the final two innings, but couldn't bring him home.
River Ridings (2-2) took the loss allowing a run on a hit in 1/3 of an inning. Caedmon Parker started and gave up a run on four hits. He struck out four and walked two in four innings.
