TCU will resume play at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Tournament is now 54 holes.
TRINITY, Texas – Due to heaving rain and thunderstorms in the area on Monday, the first day of the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship was incomplete.
TCU began at 8:37 a.m. and all Horned Frogs played at least three holes before the already anticipated weather hit the area of Whispering Pines Golf Club.
Due to the schedule changes, the 72-hole format was reduced to 54 holes. TCU will resume where they left the course starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday. The second round is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The final 18 holes will be played on Wednesday as originally scheduled.
Starting on the back nine, TCU is even-par and tied for sixth. Gustav Frimodt is 2-under and tied for first after two birdies through his four holes of play.
Justin Gums was through five holes and shot even par and is tied for 18th.
