Spenrath hits second home run of the season

DALLAS – TCU fell behind early and never recovered in a 6-1 loss to Dallas Baptist Tuesday night at Horner Ballpark. Reed Spenrath hit his second home run of the season.

The Rundown
A lead-off walk was followed by a home run by Jace Grady as Dallas Baptist jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first.

Reed Spenrath cut the deficit in half with a one out solo home run in the third, but DBU was able to get the run back in the bottom of the frame. Three straight two out hitters reached to restore the two run lead.

DBU added two runs in the fifth on back-to-back extra base hits with two outs. A lead-off home run in the sixth extended the lead to five, 6-1.

TCU had chances in the game, but couldn't come through with the two-out hit. The Frogs stranded five runners in scoring position, including four in the final four innings.

Caedmon Parker (1-2) started for TCU and allowed three runs on four hits. He walked four. And struck out one in the loss.
