The Rundown
After seeing a seven run lead disappear, the Horned Frogs responded with five runs in the ninth to regain a 12-7 lead. Porter Brown doubled home the go-ahead run and from there, the Frogs poured it on. Luke Boyers drove in a run followed by a two-run single. An errant throw allowed the fifth run of the inning to score.
Kentucky got a lead-off home run in the ninth, but River Ridings (1-0) shut the door the rest of the way to lock up the win.
Brett Walker was outstanding in the no-decision. He allowed two runs on six hits, walked four and struck out eight.
TCU opened the scoring with a trio of two out runs in the first. Boyers and Taylor singled with one out followed by a walk to David Bishop. A wild pitch allowed Boyers to score and Tommy Sacco drove in two more for a 3-0 lead.
The Frogs picked up solo runs in four consecutive innings to build a 7-0 lead. Sacrifice flies from Gray Rodgers and Boyers accounted for the runs in the third and fourth. Kurtis Byrne battled through an eight-pitch at-bat for an RBI single in the fifth. Taylor doubled with two outs in the sixth and scored on a David Bishop base knock.
Kentucky batted around in the seventh and scored six runs on a grand slam and a two-run blast to pull within one, 7-6. The comeback was complete with an unearned run in the eighth setting up the wild ninth inning finish.

With the win, TCU improves to 8-3 on the season. The Horned Frogs will stay in Kentucky and head to Louisville for a Tuesday afternoon tilt against the Cardinals. First pitch against Louisville is set for 11 a.m. (CT). The game will be televised on ACCNX.
