TCU narrowed the gap to one run, 5-4, with a three spot in the bottom of the inning. Logan Maxwell singled home two runs and Garrison Berkley hit a sac fly to bring home the fourth TCU run.

TCU tacked on four more runs in the fifth highlighted by a bases-clearing pinch hit double off the bat of Mason Speaker. Back-to-back home runs from Taylor and Bishop pushed the Frog advantage to 14-6. Gray Rodgers followed with a triple and scored on a wild pitch. Bishop's third hit of the day, a two-run single, ended the game in the eighth.
