TCU begins at 9:45 a.m. CT on Monday
FORT WORTH – TCU will begin play at the GCU Invitational on Monday at the GCU Golf Course in Phoenix, Ariz.
TCU will go with the lineup of sophomore Filippo Celli, junior Gustav Frimodt, junior Aymeric Laussot, senior Justin Gums and sophomore Brandon Massey.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday, with a shotgun start at 9:45 a.m. They will conclude with 18 holes at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

THE COURSE – Par 72 | 7,200 yards
Following an extensive renovation in 2014, the course features include new tee boxes, challenging greens, extended fairways, enhanced bunkers, updated practice facilities and a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse including a restaurant and bar, second-story practice facility and fully equipped pro shop. Its stunning redesign shapes the GCU Golf Course as a traditional walking golf course accented with beautiful greens, preserved full-grown trees planted in the early 1960s and distinct, memorable holes.
LAST TIME OUT
Justin Gums tied a career-best to lead TCU at the Southern Highlands Collegiate. He 4-under 212 and tied for 21st place. As a team, TCU finished tied for 10th.
TEAM/PROGRAM NOTES
- Five different players have led the Frogs over the seven tournaments played this season. Gums has led the Frogs in three tournaments.
- TCU is still without Jacob Skov Olesen with a broken bone in his hand.
- After a competitive fall schedule, TCU's strength of schedule is currently ranked as the fifth strongest in the nation by Bushnell/Golfweek.
- TCU has qualified for four of the last six and eight of the last 12 NCAA Championships. TCU has advanced to 18 of the past 31 NCAA Championships since 1991.
- TCU is one of nine programs to finish in the top 20 of the NCAA Championships in five of the last eight seasons. Those programs are Arizona State, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, TCU and Vanderbilt.
- TCU is one of 15 schools to play in the last two NCAA Championships.
- TCU and Clemson are the only two programs to make the last 31 NCAA Regionals with the same head coach. Last season was Clemson head coach Larry Penley's 38th and final season at the school.
- Bill Montigel is in his 42nd season at TCU and his 35th season as the head coach of TCU men's golf. Associate Head Coach Adrien Mork is in his fifth season at TCU.
