TCU had seven turnovers and outrebounded KU by 12
FORT WORTH - Mike Miles scored 19 points to lead the TCU men's basketball team to a 74-64 victory over No. 6 Kansas Tuesday night in Schollmaier Arena.
It marked the first time in the history of the program that the Frogs (19-9, 8-8) defeated AP Top 25 teams in consecutive games, having beaten No. 9 Texas Tech on Saturday.
Miles was 6-of-14 from the field, including 2-of-2 from 3-point range, and had a team-high six assists.
With Kansas (23-6, 12-4) leading by six with 13:36 to play, TCU went on a 13-5 run, capped by a Damion Baugh jumper to take the lead, 22-20, with 9:15 left to play in the first half. That sparked a back-and-forth battle to close out the half, but abruptly ended with a 3-pointer by Jalen Coleman-Lands to send the Jayhawks to the locker room with a 35-34 lead.
With Kansas leading 37-36 with 18:25 to play in the second half, Miles found Emanuel Miller on a fast break to take the lead, 38-37. Following the lead change, TCU got two consecutive stops on the defensive end highlighted by Miller's block on Christian Braun with 17:38 left in the second half.
A dunk by Xavier Cork capped a 7-0 run and gave the Frogs their largest lead of the game, 61-49, with 7:09 to play. KU got it to four, 68-64 with 47 seconds to play, but the Jayhawks were held off thanks to Damion Baugh's foul shooting down the stretch. The junior was 7-of-8 from the free throw line, all in the final 51 seconds.
Baugh finished with 11 points, as did Miller.
TCU dominated the rebounding effort, 47-35, and had seven turnovers, its lowest in a Big 12 game this season.

- TCU improved to 4-4 against top 25 teams this season. It is the most wins over top 25 teams in a single season in program history.
- It was TCU's 28th time beating a ranked team in its history and the 12th time in the last six seasons under Dixon.

- TCU had 19 offensive rebounds, it was the fifth time TCU had 19 or more offensive rebounds in a game.
