HOUSTON, Texas – The TCU women's basketball team fell to the Rice Owls, 68-58, inside Tudor Fieldhouse on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Down by nine points at the break, a basket by Lucy Ibeh got the Horned Frogs back into the game. A back and forth battle would continue for the remainder of the game before the Owls held on for the win. Ibeh led a balanced scoring offense for TCU as she finished with 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field. Tomi Taiwo was the only other Horned Frog to reach double-figures as she recorded 15 points in the contest. Roxane Makolo added seven points to round out the top scorers for TCU.
As a team, TCU shot .404 percent from the field and .200 percent behind the arc. They were out-rebounded by a 24-27 margin in favor of the Owls.
Ashlee Austin led Rice in scoring with 18 points, while Katelyn Crosthwait finished with 14 points.
With the loss TCU falls to 3-4 on the season, while Rice improves to 7-0.

TCU will return home for their next game when they host George Washington on Monday, December 5th. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. inside Schollmaier Arena. The game will be live on television on Big 12 Now on ESPN Plus, along with airing live on the radio through KTCU.
