
Seventh Straight! TCU Selected as a No. 5 Seed in NCAA Tournament

The Frogs will host UTSA Friday at 7 p.m.
FORT WORTH – TCU earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, marking their seventh straight appearance in the field of 64. The Horned Frogs will serve as a first-round host for the fourth time in program history. TCU will face UTSA Friday night at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The Frogs are the No. 5 seed in the Notre Dame Quadrant. The other seven seeded programs in the quadrant are No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Stanford, No. 4 Michigan State, No. 6 BYU, No. 7 Georgia and No. 8 Santa Clara.
TCU is 12-4-5 on the season and currently ranked No. 17. TCU made its third straight appearance in the Big 12 Championship game and its sixth appearance in the last 11 seasons. TCU finished second in the Big 12 with a record of 5-1-3.
TCU is one of just 14 programs to appear in the last seven NCAA Tournaments.
The Big 12 received three bids to the tournament. West Virginia garnered the Big 12's automatic bid and Texas earned an at-large bid as well. With a No. 5 seed, TCU earned the highest seeding in the NCAA Tournament among Big 12 schools. Texas and West Virginia are both No. 7 seeds.
