No. 2 TCU Takes Down Fresno State 16-1 in Big 12 Affair

Horned Frogs are in sole possession of first place in the Big 12 standings
FORT WORTH – No. 2 TCU delivered its most dominant performance of the 2022-23 season on Thursday, taking down Fresno State 16-1 in a Big 12 affair at Bear Creek Farms.
TCU racked up 1,622.25 combined points to the Bulldogs' 1,466.
The Horned Frogs jumped out to a 6-1 lead in Fences and Reining before punctuating the lopsided win with 5-0 sweeps in Flat and Horsemanship.
All four sets of Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) honors were awarded to TCU. Sydney Berube and Ashleigh Scully were named MOP in Fences and Flat, respectively. Jessica McAllister and Shea Graham took home MOP accolades in Horsemanship and Reining.
TCU (5-1, 2-1 Big 12) is now in sole possession of first place in the conference standings with one meet remaining in the fall portion of its schedule.
The Horned Frogs have now won seven straight home meets dating back to the 2021-22 campaign with the result.
Jumping Seat
TCU claimed three of a possible five points in Fences to begin the meet. The Horned Frogs totaled 414 points – their highest score across the four events.
Berube was the top scorer at 86 points on her way to MOP recognition. Isabella Baxter and Ella Bostwick joined her in the win column behind respective scores of 84 and 79. Jordan Scelsa tied her Fresno State counterpart at 81 points. Scully matched Baxter with 84 points but was edged by the Bulldogs' Ana Bertozzi, who delivered Fresno State's highest-scoring ride and lone triumph of the morning at 85 points.
Sydnie Young delivered TCU's first-of-five victories in Flat, riding to a score of 71 points. Scully then checked in with 81 points to garner MOP credentials. Wynne Weatherly and Laurel Smith followed scores of 75 and 72. Victoria Zahorik secured the clean sweep behind a score of 68 points on a re-ride.
Western
The Horned Frogs prowess in Western was on full display once more. TCU went 8-0 across Reining and Horsemanship.
Lannie-Jo Lisac was the high scorer in Reining at 74 points. Giorgia Meadows (73 points) and Graham (72.5 points) also entered the winner's circle. Mattie Dukes and McAllister tied Fresno State with scores of 73.5 points and 73 points.
Graham earned her second of two victories on the day in Horsemanship, riding to a score of 74.5 points. Payton Boutelle gave TCU is second win via a score of 73 points. Dukes, McAllister and Meadows then polished off the Horsemanship sweep and meet victory. McAllister and Meadows matched Graham with 74.5 points. Dukes kept pace, as she was awarded 74 points.
