Miller's 153 yards rushing rallies the Horned Frogs from an 18-point deficit
TCU is just the second Big 12 team in history to beat a ranked opponent in four consecutive weeks. Before this season, the Horned Frogs never had more than two straight weeks of defeating a ranked team.
TCU railed from a deficit of at least 17 points for the second straight game. The Horned Frogs were down 28-10 midway through the second quarter before scoring the game's final 28 points and holding the Wildcats to 87 yards of offense in the second half.
The attendance of 47,881, including a TCU record 6,512 students (more than half the student body) for the second straight game, gave TCU its third straight sellout and its longest streak since a run of seven straight sellouts in the 2014-15 seasons.
Trailing 28-10, TCU put together consecutive 91- and 77-yard drives to end the first half and begin the second half to begin its comeback. Kendre Miller, who rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries, scored on a 2-yard run on a 4th-and-1 carry to make it a 28-24 game. Miller has a rushing touchdown in all seven games this season and a team-best 10 on the season. His streak of a rushing touchdown in eight consecutive games ranks second in TCU history, behind only LaDainian Tomlinson (15, 1999-2000).
A 55-yard touchdown pass from Duggan to Quentin Johnston with 3:45 left in the third quarter put TCU on top 31-28 for its first lead since the first quarter.
After Johnny Hodges made the stuff for no gain on K-State quarterback Jake Rubley who tried a sneak on a 4th-and-1 from the Wildcat 30, TCU took advantage of the short field to extend its lead to 38-28 on a Miller 9-yard run with 12:14 to play.
TCU started fast, scoring on its first two possessions. On its opening series, Derius Davis took a short pass from Duggan and outraced the K-State defense down the sideline for a 65-yard score. Griffin Kell's 43-yard field goal gave TCU a 10-7 lead with 4:49 to play in the first quarter.
