The Frogs Script College Vault merchandise will officially launch Saturday, January 8.
FORT WORTH – TCU Athletics, in collaboration with its exclusive trademark licensing agency, CLC, announced today that for the first time ever a line of officially licensed merchandise bearing the popular "Frogs Script" worn by the basketball team will be available to fans at retail.
The Frogs Script, which has adorned TCU men's basketball jerseys for more than 50 years, is being released as part of TCU's College Vault program, a vintage-inspired merchandise program created by CLC that highlights historical trademarks and traditions through fashion-forward apparel and non-apparel products.
The bold font and unique flair of the Frogs Script font has become synonymous with TCU basketball; however, it has not been a part of any approved licensed merchandise collection until now.
"As a former TCU player and now coach, there is a special pride when you put on that Frogs Script, and I'm excited that we can now offer that same experience to our great fans," said Jamie Dixon, TCU Head Men's Basketball Coach. "The new merchandise provides an opportunity to support our teams and showcase that Frogs spirit on game days and beyond, and I'm pleased our athletic licensing staff was able to create a way to bring this collection to market."
The Frogs Script College Vault merchandise will officially launch Saturday, January 8, in conjunction with the men's basketball game against Baylor. The initial product collection will include polos, fleece, and headwear from top TCU licensing partners and will be available exclusively at Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena.
"TCU Athletics has always had a fan-focused strategy in its licensing program, and we are excited to help them deliver this unique Frogs Script merchandise as the next iteration of their College Vault collection," Nicole Armentrout, CLC's SVP of Marketing. "The College Vault collection was established to give TCU an avenue to properly merchandise its historic logos, which have deep meaning for the fans, and help tell the story of the University and its successful athletic program."
The TCU College Vault Frogs Script merchandise will eventually be available at other dedicated TCU retailers, including shop.gofrogs.com, the TCU Campus Store, and the TCU Horned Frogs Store.
