Heard scores 17 points in 66-54 defeat
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Lauren Heard scored 17 points, but the TCU Horned Frogs dropped a Big 12 Conference road contest to the West Virginia Mountaineers, 66-54, Tuesday evening at WVU Coliseum.
Heard scored 15 of her team-high 17 points in the second half, while trying to guide the Horned Frogs to a comeback in the final two quarters of play.
TURNING POINT
TCU managed to cut what once was a 19-point deficit down to nine points in the third quarter and then down to eight points in the fourth quarter, but WVU managed to counter TCU's quarter-opening runs on the way to earning the victory.
TCU forced 18 WVU turnovers, which led to 18 points at the other end of the floor, but the Horned Frogs committed a season-high 22 turnovers themselves and the Mountaineers turned those miscues into 24 points on the night.

• TCU used the same starting line-up of Okako Adika, Yummy Morris, Aahliyah Jackson, Michelle Berry and Lauren Heard for a third straight game.
• Heard moved into a tie for No. 6 all-time with her 110th career game started. She is now tied with Jordan Moore and Adrianne Ross.
