TCU Volleyball Hosts Louisiana Tech, North Florida and Houston Baptist
FORT WORTH – TCU volleyball (3-2) aims to defend its undefeated home record this week at the Fight in the Fort. The Horned Frogs host Louisiana Tech (4-3), North Florida (6-0) and Houston Baptist (5-2) this week (Sept. 9-10) inside Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena.

Frog Focus
- The Horned Frogs are playing in their second home tournament of the 2021 season inside Schollmaier Arena.
- TCU is 3-0 at home this season after sweeping Nicholls State, Texas-Rio Grande Valley and Maryland-Baltimore County last week in the Cowtown Classic.
- The Horned Frogs have swept three consecutive opponents for the first time since 2018. The longest streak of sweeps in program history came in 2015, when TCU swept five straight opponents.
- TCU's defense and blocking led to large margins of victory on sets last week. TCU won all nine sets played by an average margin of 8.44 points per set. TCU defeated Nicholls State 25-10 in the third set, the largest margin of victory in a set since 2014.
- TCU leads the Big 12 conference and is ninth in the nation in blocking after the first two weeks of the season, averaging 3.20 blocks/set. The Frogs averaged 3.89 blocks/set last week in the Cowtown Classic, making over 3 blocks/set in three consecutive matches - the longest such streak since the 2015 season, a season that ended in TCU's second NCAA Tournament appearance.
- TCU allowed just 8.78 kills/set last week. The Frogs are allowing the 2nd least kills/set in the Big 12 this season - 11.13
- Both of TCU's middle blockers are ranked in the Top 30 in the nation in blocks/set: MyKayla Myers (22) and Madilyn Cole (29).
- Coach Kramer's next victory will be the 150th of her career. She has 83 wins as the TCU head coach after 66 in five seasons at WVU
- The Horned Frogs hit .354 as a team over the last three matches while holding opponents to .060 hitting. All three opponents were held under .100 hitting, marking the longest such streak by a TCU team since the 2014 season.
- TCU holds the two highest hitting % matches of any team in the Big 12 this season: .424 vs. Nicholls and .388 vs. UTRGV

- Senior Dani Dennison has been one of the most dependable players on the roster throughout her career.
- She has played in all 115 of TCU's matches over her college career.
- Dennison has reached 1,357 digs, the second most in program history and just 76 shy of tying the program record.
- She led TCU in digs last season becoming the first Horned Frog in program history to lead the team in total digs over three seasons (2017, 2019 and 2020/21).

Scouting the Opponent: Louisiana Tech
- Enters the week with a 4-3 record. Three of their four victories have come against opponents from the SWAC along with a win over Lamar. All four of their victories have come via sweep.
- The Bulldogs three losses have come against Little Rock, Houston Baptist and Arkansas.
- Sophomore outside hitter Faith Menary leads the team with 3.36 kills/set. Freshman DS/L McKenzie Johnson, from Rockwall, Texas, leads the Bulldogs with 4.23 digs/set
- TCU leads the all-time series, 3-0. Series History: TCU 3 - LT 0 (at TCU, 8/29/08) // TCU 3 - LT 2 (at TCU, 9/19/98) // TCU 3 - LT 1 (at TCU, 9/20/96). First meeting resulted in the second win in TCU Volleyball history.
- North Florida enters the week with a perfect, 6-0 record after defeating Virginia Tech, Georgia State and Davidson last week.
- The Ospreys junior middle blocker Bre Walp, from Portland, Texas, is second in the Atlantic Sun conference with 1.33 blocks/set after 24 sets played over the first two weeks.
- UNF is 1-0 against Power 5 opponents this season after taking down Virginia Tech in five sets in Jacksonville, Fla.
- This is the first ever meeting between TCU and North Florida
Scouting the Opponent: Houston Baptist
- Houston Baptist is 5-2 entering the week.
- The Huskies' two losses this season both came against Sam Houston State, claiming wins over Louisiana Tech, San Diego State, Lamar and Prarie View A&M.
- They boast 17.54 digs/set in their first seven matches this season, the most in the Southland Conference and the 21st highest average in the nation.
- The defense is led by Sophomore DS/L Kaley Feris, a Birdville HS product from North Richland Hills, Texas.
- This is the first ever meeting between TCU and HBU
