
Mokaleng Named to Olympic Team

Mokaleng is the fourth former TCU student-athlete to make an Olympic team
FORT WORTH – Recent TCU graduate Derrick Mokaleng was named to the Olympic Team for his home country of South Africa.
A 10-time All-American, Mokaleng was one of six named to the South Africa track and field 4x400m relay team. Mokaleng was a member of TCU's 4x400m relay team this season which recorded a season-best time of 3:03.59. He also had a season-best time of 45:36 in the 400 meters.
The first round of the 4x400m relay will be run on July 30 at Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.
Mokaleng is the fourth former TCU student-athlete to make an Olympic team, joining Ronnie Baker and Lorraine Ugen from track and field and Sanna Nuutinen from women's golf.
