Nuutinen Earns Spot in Tokyo Olympics

Finland native was the 2012 Mountain West Champion
FORT WORTH -- Former TCU women's golf standout Sanna Nuutinen will represent her home country of Finland in this summer's Tokyo Olympics.
Nuutinen, who competes on the Ladies European Tour, is the first player in TCU women's golf program history to be an Olympian.
Nuutinen was a three-time all-conference selection, receiving the honor twice in the Mountain West (2011, 2012) and as a senior in the Big 12 (2014). She was the 2012 Mountain West Individual Champion, winning the title in a four-hole playoff to lead the Horned Frogs to their second straight team championship. She was also the 2011 Mountain West Freshman of the Year.
An Helsinki, Finland, native, Nuutinen ranks ninth in TCU history with a 75.0 stroke average. She totaled 21 top-20 finishes in her career, including 10 in the top 10, in 42 career tournaments. She carded a TCU record 8-under-par 64 at the 2013 Alamo Invitational.
