Porter Brown named Tournament MOP
OKLAHOMA CITY – TCU rallied for a 10-7 victory over Oklahoma State to take home its third Big 12 Tournament title. Porter Brown, the tournament MOP, led the Horned Frogs with two hits and five RBIs. Zach Humphreys, Gray Rodgers and Hunter Wolfe were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Rundown
Porter Brown put the Horned Frogs in front in the second with a bases-loaded single, but the Cowboys took advantage of two TCU errors in the next frame to score five unearned runs for a 5-2 lead.
TCU didn't stay down long as it got two of the runs back in the bottom of the inning. Brayden Tayor drew a lead-off walk and scored on a Phillip Sikes two run home run to left to pull the Frogs within one, 5-4.
The comeback was complete in the fourth as TCU tied the game. Luke Boyers opened the inning with a base hit and scored on a Taylor sacrifice fly to make it a 5-5 ballgame.
A five spot in the fifth put the Frogs in front to stay. Brown delivered again with a bases-clearing double for an 8-5 lead. Two walks reloaded the bases for Hunter Wolfe, who hit a sac fly for a four run lead. Humphreys scored the final run of the frame on a wild pitch.
Oklahoma State scored single runs in the seventh and eighth, but Haylen Green locked down the victory. He recorded the final six outs of the game, allowing two hits and striking out three.
River Ridings started and allowed an unearned run on two hits. He fanned three in 2 2/3 innings. Garrett Wright tossed 3 1/3 innings. He fanned five. Luke Savage recorded three outs, allowing a run on one hit and striking out two.

6 – TCU is just the sixth team in league history to win the regular season and tournament titles. The last Big 12 team to accomplish the feat was Texas A&M in 2011.
9 – TCU claimed its ninth tournament title (2004-08, 2010, 2014 and 2016) and the third in the Big 12 (2014, 2016 and 2017).
40 – TCU notched its 40th win of the season. It's the 12th time in program history to reach that mark. They have all come under the guidance of head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
