
TCU in 20th After Second Round at NCAA

Frogs begin third round at 1:42 p.m. CT
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – TCU ran into trouble on its second nine and fell to a tie for 20th after the second round of the NCAA Championships Saturday at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
With half of the 30-team field having already completed its round, TCU found itself in 11th place after shooting even-par over its first nine hole. However, the Horned Frogs, who started on hole No. 10, shot 13-over par on its second nine and 13-over 293 over 18 holes.
Sophomore Aymeric Laussot continues to lead the Horned Frogs after tying a team-best and shooting 3-over 73 including a bogey-free 2-under 33 on the first nine. He's tied for 45th at 4-over 144.
Sophomore Mateo Fernández de Oliveira and freshman Filippo Celli also shot 3-over 73. Fernández de Oliveira is tied for 71st place at 6-over 146 and Celli is tied for 92nd at 8-over 148.
Gustav Frimodt each shot 7-over 77 and is tied for 106th place.
Sophomore Jacob Skov Olesen shot 4-over 74 on the day and moved to 12-over 152 and is tied for 125th place
Oklahoma State (-6) leads the tournament. The Horned Frogs are five strokes back from the top 15, which is the cut line to get to Monday's fourth round. TCU will begin Sunday's third round at 1:42 p.m. CT with Tennessee and Texas on hole No. 10.
