Horned Frogs close their season with their best round at the regional
STANFORD, Calif. -- The TCU women's golf team closed its season Wednesday at the NCAA Regional in Stanford, Calif.
The Horned Frogs, making their 23rd appearance in the last 25 postseasons, lowered their score each day of the regional in tying for 15th place.
Freshman Sabrina Nguyen was TCU's top finisher as she tied for 38th. The Escondido, Calif., native birdied her opening two holes and three of the first four for an even-par 71.
Graduate student Greta Bruner, playing in her final collegiate tournament, was 1 under on the back nine. She recorded three birdies to finish with a 1-over 72, her best round of the regional. It was also her fourth score of 72 or better in her last six rounds.
Lois Lau totaled a team-best four birdies in a 10-hole stretch as she posted a 3-over 74.
Jennie Park opened and closed her day with birdies en route to her third consecutive 76.
Sabrina Iqbal, playing just outside her hometown of San Jose, posted both of her birdies over the final six holes.
