The Rundown
A lead-off walk in the 10th inning doomed the Horned Frogs as Clayton Chadwick doubled home the game-winning run.
The Bearkats rallied from a 4-2 deficit to take a 5-4 lead after seven. Sam Houston plated all three runs in the inning with two outs, the big blow a two-run triple from Trent Tochet.
TCU wasted little time tying the game at five. Conner Shepherd doubled and moved to third on an error with one out. Zach Humphreys delivered the sacrifice fly to tie the game at five.
A two base error in the second helped the Frogs score the first run of the game. Zach Humphreys scored on a Phillip Sikes ground out. Hunter Wolfe singled in another run in third and a double steal attempt saw the throw sail into left allowing Brayden Taylor to score for a 3-0 lead.
The Bearkats pushed across two runs in the fourth to make it a 3-2 game. But TCU responded with a run in the next half inning. Gene Wood tripled and scored on a wild pitch to push the advantage back to two, 4-2.
Garrett Wright (0-1) took the loss after allowing a run on hit with a walk. Austin Krob started and allowed two runs on four hits in 3 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out five. Haylen Green, Dalton Brown and River Ridings also pitched for the Frogs.
