Pacheco ties for 15th after a final round 72
ARGYLE, Texas -- Valeria Pacheco's final round even-par 72 led the TCU women's golf team as it finished 10th at The Bruzzy in Argyle, Texas.
Pacheco totaled a team-best four birdies, including three of her last six holes, to tie for 15th. Her 1-over 217 marked the second best 54-hole score of her career. It was the fifth top-20 finish for the junior from Hallandale Beach, Fla.
Greta Bruner, the lone senior in the TCU lineup, had a pair of birdies en route to a final round 75. Her tie for 22nd was a season-best finish.
Freshman Sabrina Nguyen also carded a 75 with three birdies, the last of which came on her final hole.
Fellow rookie Lois Lau finished strong with birdies on two of her final three holes, going 2 under for the final five holes.
The Horned Frogs played without standout Sabrina Iqbal, who will begin play Wednesday at the Augusta National Women's Amateur.
