Gonzaga scores three unearned runs in the 11th
The Rundown
With the bases loaded and two outs in the 11th, the Horned Frogs looked to be out of the inning, but a throwing error cleared the bases. TCU had a chance in the bottom of the frame as it loaded the bases, but a double play ball ended the game.
Gonzaga opened the scoring with a two out solo home run in the second. TCU battled back to tie the game in the bottom of the inning on a two out single from Gray Rodgers.
The Bulldogs put up a three spot in the third after four straight batters reached with one out. Brett Harris base hit gave the Bulldogs the lead and two runs scored on a sacrifice fly and fielding error for a 4-1 advantage.
TCU tied the with three in the fourth. Zach Humphreys drove in Bobby Goodloe to pull the Frogs within two. A Gene Wood sacrifice fly and a double from Phillip Sikes tied the game at four.
Tommy Sacco gave the Frogs a 6-4 lead with a base hit in the sixth, but Gonzaga answered in the top of the seventh with a three run home run to regain the advantage.
Elijah Nunez drew a walk to open the ninth and scored on a two out single from Wood to force extras.
Austin Krob started for TCU and allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits in six innings of work. He walked two and struck out five in the no-decision. River Ridings fanned three in two scoreless innings of relief. Haylen Green (1-1) was tagged with the loss after giving up two unearned runs in 2 2/3 innings of work.

With the loss, TCU falls to 10-5 overall. The Horned Frogs will wrap up a four game homestand Tuesday night when they host UAPB at 6:30 p.m. The contest will be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
