
Frogs Championship Run Ends in Loss to Baylor

Tavy Diggs notches another 20-point effort in defeat
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – TCU's run in the 2021 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship came to an end on Friday as the No. 8-seeded Horned Frogs fell to the No. 1-seeded Baylor Lady Bears 92-55 at Municipal Auditorium.
TURNING POINT
TCU trailed by double-digits early on, but managed to cut Baylor's lead back within single digits on a couple different occasions. Baylor took control of the game midway through the third quarter and then put the game out of reach, outscoring the Frogs 33-13 in the final frame.
The Horned Frogs shot just .264 from the field overall, which included making just 3-of-21 (.143) from three-point range. NaLyssa Smith (26 points) and DiJonai Carrington (17) led the way for the Lady Bears, as Baylor would go onto finish the game shooting .521 from the field overall. Tavy Diggs would set a new career-high, scoring 22 points on the way to lead the Frogs in scoring.
