Horned Frogs to play six matches
FORT WORTH – The TCU women's soccer program announced its 2021 spring schedule. The slate features six games against opponents that also participated in the fall season. The Horned Frogs will play five home games and one road contest.
Similar to the fall, the spring season opens with Baylor on March 6, this time in Fort Worth. The Horned Frogs and the Bears played to a scoreless draw on Sept. 11. Baylor finished fifth in the Big 12 standings with a 3-3-3 record in the fall.
Texas State will make its way to Fort Worth on March 13. The Bobcats went 4-9-1 in the fall.
A pair of Big 12 opponents follow on March 20 and April 3. After facing both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State on the road in the fall, both will make the trek to Garvey-Rosenthal in the spring. First up is Oklahoma which finished last in the league with an 0-8-1 record. TCU defeated the Sooners 1-0 in Norman on Oct. 30. Oklahoma State finished third in the Big 12 with a 6-2-1 record. The Frogs left Stillwater with a 2-1 overtime win on Oct. 9.
TCU's lone road contest of the fall comes on April 10 when the Frogs head to College Station to take on Texas A&M. The Aggies completed the fall season with an 8-2-0 record.
The spring slate concludes on April 17 when Notre Dame comes to town. The Fighting Irish closed out the fall slate with a 4-5 record.
All games are slated to begin at 7 p.m.
After securing the Big 12 regular season title in the fall, the Horned Frogs have already clinched an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The 48 team tournament will take place roughly April 24-May 14.
