
Olesen Rises to Third at The Prestige

Frogs begin the final round Wednesday at 1 p.m. CT
LA QUINTA, Calif. – Sophomores Gustav Frimodt and Jacob Skov Olesen each recorded career-lows to lead TCU in the second round of The Prestige on Tuesday at the Greg Norman Course at The Club at PGA West.
Olesen made five birdies and shot 3-under 68 to move up the leaderboard to third place. The sophomore shot 3-under 32 on the front nine. His score of 68 tied Frimodt for the team low. Frimodt played a bogey-free back nine and fired a 4-under 32. He moved up 50 spots from Friday and is tied for 19th place.
Olesen is tied with California's Aaron Du for third and is three behind the leader, Ludvig Aberg of Texas Tech (-6).
Mateo Fernández de Oliveira made an eagle on the par 4, No. 11 hole. He shot 3-over 74 for the round and is tied for 34th place at 2-over 144.
TCU shot one stroke better than the opening round at 4-over 288. The Horned Frogs moved up four places to seventh, just three shots behind No. 16-ranked Texas Tech for sixth. No. 5 Pepperdine (-8) leads the 24-team event.
TCU will begin the final round Wednesday at 1 p.m. CT.
