LA QUINTA, Calif. – Sophomore Gustav Frimodt's eagle highlighted TCU's opening round at The Prestige at the Greg Norman Course at The Club at PGA West.

From 120 yards out, Frimodt made eagle on the No. 5 hole, a 380-yard par 4. Frimodt shot 3-over 74 for the round.

The best round for the Horned Frogs went to Mateo Fernández de Oliveira, who shot 1-under 70 with the help of four birdies. He is tied for 16^th.

Jacob Skov Olesen shot even-par 71 and is tied for 25^th.

As a team, TCU shot 5-over 289 and is tied for 12^th place. The Frogs are just eight strokes out of second place. Arizona State (-8) leads the 24-team tournament.

TCU will begin the second round on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. CT on hole No. 1.
