Duo are first in program history to be recognized
FORT WORTH – TCU women's soccer standouts Brandi Peterson and Gracie Brian have been voted United Soccer Coaches Association Scholar All-Americans. The duo are the first in program history to earn the recognition. Peterson was named to the first team, while Brian earned a spot on the second team.
Peterson, a first-team All-American and the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, owns a 3.80 GPA in Movement Science. She was a key cog in TCU's lineup this season, playing in and starting all 24 games. She helped the Horned Frogs to a school record 13 shutouts. Offensively, she contributed two goals and nine assists for 13 points.
Brian, a first-team All-Midwest Region performer, boasts a 3.54 GPA as a business major. She was tied for third on the team with a career-high 28 points. Playing in and starting all 24 games, Brian tallied nine goals and 10 assists. She recorded three game-winners and played the entirety of nine games over the course of the season.
TCU concluded the season in the Sweet 16 with a record of 19-2-3. The Horned Frogs were ranked as high as No. 9 in the final polls.
