
TCU's Men Receive Votes in Latest CSCAA Poll

The Frogs earn 18 votes to sit tied at No. 26
FORT WORTH – The TCU men's swimming & diving team is receiving votes (18) in the November edition of the CSCAA rankings.
The Frogs (T-No. 26) received votes three separate times last season in the November, December and January polls for the 2020-21 season.
Throughout the first two months of competition, the TCU men have broken four school records and earned eight NCAA B cuts.
NCAA B Cuts
So far this season, five athletes have notched eight different B cuts. At the USC Invitational on Oct. 15-16, Piotr Sadlowski (100 fly), Rylee Moore (100 backstroke), Janis Silins (100, 200 breast) and Geremia Freri (500 freestyle, 400 IM, 1650 freestyle) all recorded B cuts.
On Day One of the Art Adamson Invitational on Nov. 17, Freri earned his second B cut of the season in the 500 freestyle and Milan Fabian picked up his first B cut in the same event.
Big 12 Awards
Most recently, the Frogs picked up four conference awards for the week of Nov. 3. Sadlowski earned Swimmer of the Week, Freri and Moore each picked up Newcomer of the Week honors and David Ekdahl earned Diver of the Week for the teams' performances against SMU.

Last Time Out
The Frogs competed against Texas A&M on Nov. 5, with the men's team losing 180-114 and the women falling 181-108.
The meet was highlighted by Jadon Wuilliez and Silins placing first and second in the 100 breaststroke. Wuilliez swam a time of 55.24 to finish first and Silins' time of 55.53 was good for second.
Three divers notched Zone cuts against the Aggies as well. Ekdahl recorded a 338.63 to place second on 3-meter and his seventh Zone cut of the season. Connie Deighton got a Zone cut on 1-meter with a score of 286.80 and Anna Kwong earned her first Zone cut of the season with a score of 286.80 on 1-meter.
Qualifying for Junior Worlds
Ekdahl has qualified for this year's FINA World Junior Diving Championships.
The event will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine from Dec. 2-9. Ekdahl will dive four of those days as he will compete in the Mixed Team Event, the Boys A 1-meter, Boys A 3-meter and the Boys A/B Synchro 3-meter.
Ekdahl earned a spot at the Championships based on his performances this season at TCU, as well as the dive lists that he's been training with. In the first meet of the season, Ekdahl placed first and broke the school record on 1-meter with a score of 363.97 against Incarnate Word. That same meet, he also won on 3-meter and is now No. 3 all-time in TCU history with a score of 370.72.
At the FIU TYR Classic, Ekdahl won on 1-meter and placed third on 3-meter with scores of 326.30 and 331.90, respectively. He placed first on both boards against SMU as he won on 1-meter with a score of 347.55 and on 3-meter with a score of 337.72.
