TCU Rushes Past Texas Tech

Miller and Evans both top 100 yards rushing
TCU has won four straight games at Jones AT&T Stadium, marking the only time in its history to win consecutive contests in Lubbock.
The Horned Frogs' 394 yards rushing were their most in a game since running for 431 in a 62-22 win at Baylor in 2016. Evans became the first Horned Frog since Lonta Hobbs in 2002 with four consecutive 100-yard efforts.
After rushing for a 33-yard touchdown to give TCU an early 14-0 lead, Miller had a 75-yard scoring run to extend the Horned Frogs' advantage to 45-17 with 7:18 left in the second quarter. He then provided TCU's final points with a 45-yard run for his third score of the night.
TCU started fast as its opening two plays were Evans carries totaling 60 yards, putting the Horned Frogs at the Texas Tech 20. Five plays later, Max Duggan connected on a 4-yard touchdown pass to Quincy Brown, the first career receiving score for the true freshman.
The Horned Frogs' advantage grew quickly to 28-7 just 14 seconds into the second quarter with a pair of touchdowns nine seconds apart. On Texas Tech's first play after an Evans' 7-yard touchdown run, Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson returned an interception 29 yards for a touchdown.
Evans' second touchdown of the game, a 1-yard run with 1:35 left in the second quarter, gave the Horned Frogs a 35-10 halftime lead.
