
FROGS TRAVEL TO SOUTH CAROLINA TO TAKE ON THE CITADEL SATURDAY

After a two week break, the No. 3 TCU women's rifle team will travel to Charleston, S.C. to take on The Citadel Saturday at the Inouye Marksmanship Center.
TCU currently sits third in team aggregate average (4,716.0) behind West Virginia (4,726.5) and Alaska Fairbanks (4,728.0) in the latest CRCA poll.
The Horned Frogs improved their smallbore team score from their first outing (2,328) to their second match (2,349) and will look to continue improving in both disciplines and stay undefeated on the season.
Despite the two week break, junior Stephanie Grundsoee still sits second in air rifle average at 597. Not far behind her is senior Kristen Hemphill in fifth with her average of 595.5.
Stephanie Allan, currently ranked 11th in air rifle average (593), broke both her smallbore and air rifle career highs in the first two matches and looks to continue her career season this weekend. Senior Abigail Gordon and sophomore Nina Schuett have both contributed to their team's score this season, both with aggregate averages of 1,170 and 1,174, respectively.
Junior Grace Taschuk has also served as a counter in both matches so far with a season high smallbore score of 578 and a season high air rifle score of 588. Senior Noelle Christensen will try to build off the momentum from the first match, where she shot a career high mark in air rifle (589). Freshman Anne White continues her debut season. So far, White has career highs of 575 in smallbore and 592 in air rifle.
The Citadel Bulldogs have participated in five matches so far this season, beating UAB for their sole win on the season. The Bulldogs are led by freshman James Hart IV, who has fired the team-best aggregate score of 1,149 against Nebraska.
The match is set to begin at 7 a.m. (CT).
