Manyang hits seven kills in the third set as TCU falls to Texas
AUSTIN – TCU Volleyball battled the top-ranked Texas Longhorns but ultimately fell short, 3-0, on Friday night inside Gregory Gymnasium. Junior Afedo Manyang made seven kills in a hotly contested third set before Texas claimed the win.
"Although we were competitive early in each set, we did not pass as well tonight and gave up too many point runs to stay in it," head coach Jill Kramer said. "We created a lot of opportunities with our block and defense, but needed to be more aggressive in our transition offense to close points out. Overall, we made some improvements as a team in this series and are looking forward to getting back in the gym this week to prepare for Kansas State."
