Frogs begin play Sunday in Las Vegas
FORT WORTH – Once again, the TCU men's golf team will face tough competition at the Southern Highlands Collegiate beginning Sunday in Las Vegas, Nev.
Over half of the top 10 teams in the country will participate at the Southern Highlands Golf Club, including each of the top five teams.
The 54-hole tournament will occur over three days with the final round on Tuesday. Play will begin at 11 a.m. CT each day with tee times off No. 1 and No. 10 holes. Last year, TCU finished tied for seventh place.
TCU will go with the lineup of Caden Christopherson, Mateo Fernández de Oliveira, Gustav Frimodt, Justin Gums and Aymeric Laussot.
The individual champion will receive an exemption into the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, which will take place Oct. 8-11, 2020.
LAST TIME OUT
TCU finished tied for fifth at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Feb. 23 in Palm Desert, Calif. Caden Christopherson and Mateo Fernández de Oliveira tied for sixth place to lead the Frogs, shooting 5-under 211.

• Finished tied for 19th at the Latin America Amateur Championship in Mexico on Jan. 19.
• Was co-leader for TCU at the Carmel Cup with a score of 2-under 214, tied for 17th place.
• Shot a career-best 7-under 209 at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate, including two sub-70 rounds.
• Had rounds of par or better a team-best 13 times.
Gustav Frimodt (Freshman | Glamsbjerg, Denmark)
• Shot a season-best 1-under 215 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
• Finished in 21st place with a score of 1-over 217 at the Hartford Hawks Invitational.

• Tied a career-best 4-under 212 at the Hartford Hawks Invitational and led the Frogs and tied for 9th place.

• Shot even-par 216 at the Carmel Cup and finished tied for 23rd.
