Olesen had the Frogs' best record over the weekend
HOCKLEY, Texas – TCU dropped its two matches on Sunday to finish sixth at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament at The Clubs at Houston Oaks in Hockley, Texas.
No. 4 seed TCU fell to No. 1 seed Oklahoma, 4-1-1 in the morning and then No. 6 Kansas, 5-1-0 in the championship round in the afternoon. The Frogs finished with a record of 2-3.
Sophomore Jacob Skov Olesen won both of his matches Sunday, 5&4 against Oklahoma and 6&5 against Kansas. He finished match play with a record of 4-1.
No. 5 seed Baylor won the Big 12 Match Play Tournament in a tiebreaker over No. 7 seed Oklahoma State.
The Frogs conclude the fall season at the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational, Oct. 18-20, at Maridoe Golf Club in Dallas.
