
Frogs Move Up in Rd. 2 of NCI

The final round for TCU begins at 10:40 a.m. CT.
NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – TCU's men's golf team was one stroke better in round two as the Nike Collegiate Invitational continued Monday at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Ore.
The Horned Frogs moved up to 11th place with an overall score of 3-over 571 after shooting 1-over 285.
Thomas Allkins and Mateo Fernández de Oliveira had the biggest jump up the leaderboard, both moving up 15 places. Allkins shot 2-under 69 to go under for the tournament at 1-under 141 and is tied for 26th place. Fernández de Oliveira improved by four strokes with a round of even-par 71. His total score of 4-over 146 moved him up to a tie for 49th place.
Freshman Gustav Frimodt eagled his second hole of the day on the par 5 No. 11 hole and finished 1-over 72. With a score of 1-over 143, Frimodt is tied for 35th place.
One day after shooting 3-under 68, sophomore Justin Gums shot 6-over 77 and fell to a tie for 43rd place at 3-over 145.
TCU will face a loaded field, that includes nine ranked in the top 25, one more time when it tees off Tuesday at 10:40 a.m. with Florida and No. 21 Stanford. No. 9 Oklahoma (-31) leads the tournament behind the lead of its top individual, Logan McAllister (-10).
