Gums Leads Frogs After Rd. 1 at NCI

Frogs begin round two at 10:40 a.m. CT
NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – Sophomore Justin Gums leads the TCU men's golf team after one round of the Nike Collegiate Invitational at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.
Facing a loaded field featuring nine of the nation's top 25 teams, the Horned Frogs are in 12th place after shooting 2-over 286.
Gums carded five birdies and shot 3-under 68. He's just three shots behind leader Logan McAllister of Oklahoma. The No. 9 ranked Sooners (-14) also lead the tournament as a team.
Freshman Gustav Frimodt is tied for 30th after shooting even-par 71. Junior Thomas Allkins is one behind Frimodt with a score of 1-over 72 and is tied for 41st place.
The Frogs will begin the second round on Monday at 10:40 a.m. CT with No. 3 Baylor and No. 19 USC.
