
Bright and Ryan Earn Preseason Recognition

Season starts Aug. 22 at Florida State
FORT WORTH – TCU women's soccer athletes Messiah Bright and Yazmeen Ryan were tabbed preseason All-Big 12 in a vote conducted by league coaches. It marks the second straight season the Horned Frogs have had multiple representatives on the preseason team.
Bright, the 2019 Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Year, tied for second on the team with 13 points. Her six goals were tied for first, while her three game-winning goals were tied for second. She led the squad with 47 shots.
Ryan, a member of the 2019 MAC Hermann Trophy Award Watch List, is making her second appearance on the Big 12 Preseason All-Conference squad. She finished tied for second on the team with a total of 13 points in 2018. She tallied five goals and contributed three assists in her sophomore campaign. Of her five goals, four stood up as game-winning goals. Ryan, who started 13 of 17 games played, earned 1st-team All-Big 12 honors as a sophomore.
The Horned Frogs kick off the 2019 campaign at the home of the defending National Champions, Florida State, on Aug. 22.
