Frogs begin Wednesday in Austin
FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU will send four entries to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships this week in Austin.
MEET INFO
For the Horned Frogs, the NCAA Championships will begin on Wednesday and finish on Friday at Mike A. Myers Stadium. The event is back in Austin for the first time since 2004 and will be for three-straight years as Oregon's Hayward Field is under construction in order to host the World Track and Field Championships in 2021.
All field events will be streamed online through WatchESPN.com with ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU providing coverage, primarily of the running events, each day. Live results of all events can be found here.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Mapaya, the indoor and outdoor champion of the Big 12, enters the triple jump competition with the third best jump of the 24-person field. His school-record jump of 16.64m (54-7.25) came at the National Relay Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. Mapaya earned All-America status last season as a freshman after finishing fifth (16.42m) at the outdoor championships. Mapaya finished third nationally at the indoor championships in each of the last two seasons. He will attempt to become a four-time All-American on Friday.
- Longmire, the Big 12 indoor champion and outdoor runner-up, will attempt to become a three-time All-American. The junior was fourth at the indoor championship and as a sophomore at San Jose State in 2018, finished 14th in the outdoor season. Her season best of 6.39m (20-11.75) came at the Jim Click Shootout this year.
- Already a three-time All-American, Mokaleng is seeded 13th in the 400m. The TCU record holder for the 400m finished eighth at the indoor championship this season and 13th at the outdoor championship as a freshman last season. His season best is 45.17 this season at the Michael Johnson Invite and career best is 45.02.
- The 4x400 relay team of Andrews, Bender, Hennesay and Matiyenga won the Big 12 Outdoor Championship in May (3:04.86). It was their first race together. TCU has won the 4x400 conference title three times in the last two seasons, when adding the two titles from the 2018 indoor and outdoor conference meets.
