SoCon Freshman of the Year Signs with the Frogs
FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU head coach Jamie Dixon announced the signing of Kevin Easley Jr. on Tuesday as part of the 2019-20 incoming class.
Easley, a 6-6 forward, comes to TCU after playing his freshman season at Chattanooga. The Indianapolis, Ind., native led Chattanooga with 14.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game and became the first Moc to be named Southern Conference Freshman of the Year. Easley, who shot 44.4 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from 3-point range, was also named All-Southern Conference Third Team. He scored 20 or more points seven times, including a career-high 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting against VMI on Dec. 9, 2018.
Easley was a four-star prospect out of Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis and was rated as the No. 35 ranked small forward nationally and No. 6 player overall in Indiana.
Easley joins Francisco Farabello, PJ Fuller, Keonte Kennedy, Mickey Pearson Jr. and Diante Smith as signees for the 2019-20 incoming class.
