Frogs begin final round Monday morning
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – After two rounds, the TCU men's golf team is tied for 10th at The Hayt, held at Sawgrass Country Club.
The Horned Frogs saw a difference of 16 strokes between their first round and second round. TCU was in third place and shot even-par 288 through 18 holes, led by Hayden Springer's 6-under 66. The Frogs shot 16-over 304 in the second round.
Springer, who shot under par in 13 of his last 14 rounds, was 8-over 80 in the second round and is tied for 21st. At 2-over 146, Springer is one shot ahead of Stefano Mazzoli, who shot 3-over 147. Mazzoli was the only other Frog to shoot under par for a round as he was 1-under 71 through 18 holes.
TCU, which is tied with No. 9 Auburn, is scheduled to resume play with the final round Monday morning at 6:58 a.m. CT.
