
School Records Fall in TCU Win

Ravetto earns medalist honors
LAKE CHARLES, La. – TCU's men's golf team set multiple school records Tuesday on its way to winning the Lake Charles Invitational.
Senior David Ravetto followed his rounds of 64 and 66 on Monday with a score of 5-under 67 in the final round to earn medalist honors. Ravetto shot 19-under 197 at The Country Club at The Golden Nugget, a TCU record for the lowest 54-hole score. The record-holder for six years was Paul Barjon, who shot 11-under 199 at the Stanford U.S. Intercollegiate in 2013
The Horned Frogs won their first team title of the season and did so with the best score in TCU history, 47-under 817, the lowest at TCU for 54 holes. The previous record of 18-under 822 was set at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate in 2007. TCU finished 15 shots ahead of tournament runner-up, No. 10 ranked Texas Tech.
Hayden Springer also had one of the best 54-hole outings of any Horned Frog. The senior finished tied for second with a score of 13-under 203, which ties for the eighth lowest score in TCU history. Springer shot 2-under 70 on Tuesday and has shot at or under par in 12 of his last 13 rounds.
Stefano Mazzoli tied a career-low 11-under 205 and finished seventh. The senior shot 3-under 69 on Tuesday, his fifth-straight sub-70 round.
Senior Triston Fisher also finished under par in all three rounds and finished tied for 24th place after shooting 4-under 212.
