Frogs at home after road trips
SPRINGTOWN, Texas – After back-to-back weekends on the road, TCU equestrian returns home to Turning Point Ranch for a showdown with first-year program UC Davis Thursday morning at 10 a.m.
Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield
"We are excited to welcome this new team to Fort Worth. They are well coached and already have a roster of talented student-athletes. We are certain they will bring solid competition. As a team we've maintained focus on making little improvements each day. We don't prepare for meets with opponents in mind, we only target our own growth."
Scouting the Frogs
The Horned Frogs have continued to have strong performances individually, winning 30 of 44 Most Outstanding Performer honors given out in meets this year. TCU is set to put out an experienced group of riders for the meet, with most seeing plenty of meet action this season. Bella Andrews will be riding in a regular-season meet for the first time at Turning Point Ranch in her career. She rode an exhibition on Sept. 21 against Texas Tech.
Scouting the Aggies
UC Davis is the newest member of the National Collegiate Equestrian Association and is a member of the United Equestrian Conference. The meet against the Frogs is the third meet in program history for the Aggies who come in 1-1. UC Davis won its first ever meet against Delaware State, 10-5, but fell to fourth-ranked Texas A&M last week in College Station.
Series History
This will be the first ever meeting between TCU and UC Davis.
