
Bane Wins Big 12 Player of the Week

The junior earns his first Big 12 weekly honor
FORT WORTH, Texas – Junior guard Desmond Bane has been named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
It was the first-career Big 12 award for Bane, who averaged 21.5 points in leading TCU to a 2-0 week which included a win at No. 17 Iowa State, the Frogs' first win over a ranked team on the road in 21 years. The Richmond, Ind., native tied a season-high with 26 points, one 6-of-9 shooting from 3-point range, to give TCU the win over Oklahoma State on Wednesday and then scored 17 against the Cyclones.
Heading into Monday's 8 p.m. game against No. 14 Kansas, Bane ranks seventh in the conference in scoring at 15.3 points per game.
