Horned Frogs embrace road test against top-ranked Texas
FORT WORTH – TCU volleyball (9-13, 4-8) carries a two-match win streak into Austin for a 7:00 p.m. contest with the No. 1 ranked Texas Longhorns (18-2, 12-0). The Horned Frogs have boasted one of the best offensive attacks in the conference over the last two matches. They will hope to continue that trend this weekend, in Austin. Saturday's match will be broadcasted on the Longhorn Network from inside Gregory Gymnasium.

-This will be the second meeting of the season between TCU and Texas.
-It will be the second chance for TCU to knock off the No. 1 ranked team, lost 3-0 to No. 1 Baylor on Oct. 12. TCU is 0-3 all-time against No. 1 ranked teams - 3-0 at Penn State (8/29/14) and 3-0 at Texas (10/30/13).
-The Horned Frogs are looking for its first victory inside the Gregory.
-TCU is coming off a 3-1 victory on the road over West Virginia on Wednesday

Freshman McKenzie Nichols put up her third straight double-double and sixth in 12 conference matches, posting 49 assists and 10 digs in the win. She has now tallied at least 40 assist and 10 digs in each of her last three matches.
Her 49 assists set a new career-high in a four-set match.
-Junior Dani Dennison earned 15 digs in the libero role. She has finished with at least 10 digs in four consecutive matches and five of her last six.
As a team, TCU delivered 62 kills, its second straight match to hit 60+ kills in a four-set match.
The Horned Frogs are averaging 15.75 kills/set in their last two matches.
The TCU defense tallied 65 digs, its most in a victory this season.

-Julia Adams exploded for a season-best 23 kills on .500 hitting with six blocks last saturday against Kansas.
-All three numbers were career high marks for the Plano native.
-Her output earned her Big 12 offensive player and rookie of the week honors (Nov. 3-9). Becoming the first Big 12 OPOW this season for TCU and third ROW.
-Her 23 kills in four sets ranks fourth in the Big 12 this season, first among freshman.

Tough as Nalls
-Audrey Nalls leads all Big 12 freshman in points per set (3.40).

-Nalls has emerged as one of the great all-around talents in the Big 12. She is the only freshman in the Big 12 with over 100 kills, 90 digs and 25 blocks in conference matches.
-At K-State, she tallied career-bests in aces (5), blocks (5.0) and digs (15), helping TCU set a Big 12 program record with 13 aces.
-She set a career-high in hitting percentage, collecting 13 kills on 23 attacks (.391 hitting percentage) against No. 6 Texas.
-Nalls has delivered at least eight kills in 18 of her 21 career college matches.
-She reached 200 career kills in just 61 sets, one of the fastest rates in program history, behind some familiar faces McCall (40 sets – 2018) and Jill Kramer (37 sets - 1996).

-Since taking over the setting duties before the Texas match, McKenzie Nichols has shown tremendous strides, setting a new career-best with 59 assists against Texas Tech (10/6) while tallying over 30 assists in eight of the last 10 matches, including 40+ assists in four of her last five.
-She is averaging 10.6 assists/set since taking over primary duties.
-She earned Big 12 Rookie of the Week honors after dropping 91 assists over the course of eight sets (11.38 assists/set) at the start of the month (10/2-10/6).
-Her 59 assists against Tech were the sixth most assists by a freshman in a single match in program history, the most recorded by a freshman in the 25-point set, rally scoring era.
-Her 59 assists stand as the most by a setter in Big 12 play this season and is tied for the second-most assists in a single match by a Big 12 setter this season.
