Ashdown Garners Big 12 Honors

IRVING — Izzy Ashdown of TCU swimming and diving received Big 12 Diver of the Week recognition for her record-breaking performances against the University of the Incarnate Word.
Ashdown, a junior, broke a pair of school records en route to first-place finishes on both the 1- and 3-meter boards. A 323.625 score on 1-meter bested Kirsten Connolly's 2016 record of 321.30.
In 3-meter, her 362.175 edged Kelly Seely's 360.15 that had stood since 2006.
This is the Sydney, Australia native's second Big 12 Diver of the Week award. The sophomore also took home Big 12 honors last November.
Ashdown and the rest of TCU's swimming and diving team are on deck again from Nov. 21-23 in Dallas at the SMU Invite.
