SENIOR (2020-21)
Qualified for the NCAA Zone D meet… Took second in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives against Missouri (Oct. 16)… Placed second in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives against Kansas (Oct. 17)… Finished second on both boards and earned an NCAA zone cut on the 1-meter with a score of 268.35 against SMU (Oct. 23)…Earned a first-place finish in the 1-meter dive with a score of 294.10 against Florida State… Earned bronze at the Big 12 Championships in the 1-meter dive with a score of 290.95.
JUNIOR (2019-20)
Placed first in the 3-meter dive (301.40) and qualified for the NCAA Zone cuts, also finished first in the 1-meter dive (245.90) at the vs. UTPB Meet in Fort Worth (Sep. 20) ... Qualified for the NCAA Zone cuts by finishing third in the 1-meter dive (268.40) and ninth in the 3-meter dive (298.00) at the TYR Fall classic at FIU (Oct. 4-5) ... Earned NCAA Zone Cuts in the 1-meter and 3-meter dive with a score of 287.55, placing second, and 306.90, placing first, at the vs. SMU meet in Fort Worth (Oct. 25) to ... Broke two school records en route to first-places finishes in the 1-meter (323.55) and in the 3-meter (362.14) at the vs. UIW meet in Fort Worth (Nov.8).
SOPHOMORE (2018-19)
Finished second in the 1-meter dive (250.55) and third in the 3-meter dive (221.80) at the TYR Fall Classic in Miami (Oct. 5) … swept the 1-meter (275.85) and 3-meter dives (281.85) at the Big 12 Opener at Kansas (Oct. 27) … Picked up her second win of the season in the 1-meter dive (252.00) at SMU (Nov. 2), while finishing second in the 3-meter (242.80) … Named the Big 12 Conference Diver of the Week honors (Nov. 14) after her first two performances at Kansas and SMU … registered a third-place finish with a season-best score of 312.37 in the 3-meter, while recording her second-best 1-meter score of the season at a duel meet with Texas A&M and Rice in College Station (Dec. 1) … Won the 1-meter (239.92) and 3-meter dives (295.05) at home (Dec. 8) vs. Ouachita Baptist … Placed sixth in the 1-meter dive (290.40) at the Big 12 Championships (Feb. 27-March 2)
PERSONAL
Ashdown comes to TCU from Sydney, Australia, where she competed on the national and international levels. She was a finalist at the Elite Australian Nationals in the one meter, and was a member of Australia's team for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
"Izzy is an elite springboard diver coming from Australia and is strong, smart, and exciting to work with," head diving coach Anthony Crowder said. "She has some international experience and has competed with Australia's best. Izzy will have a large impact on our success at the Big 12 Championships and postseason meets."
